Plesk compatibility mode for legacy option

Plesk compatibility mode for legacy option

Plesk compatibility mode for legacy option

(Separate SSL/TLS and non-SSL/TLS content)

Problem:

Opening the website with https shows a default placeholder page as given below:

“This is the placeholder for domain <domain name>. If you see this page after uploading site content you probably have not replaced the index.html file"

Solution:

The above error is due to the legacy mode enabled in hosting settings and http and https docs are redirected to different folders and this needs to be disabled:

Login into Plesk panel

Then go to Subscriptions > Select the <domain name>

Hosting settings

Compatibility mode for legacy option (Separate SSL/TLS and non-SSL/TLS content)

To disable this option click on the blue tick color box

Then click on the OK button to save the changes you made.
